Question: How does the ZZeus divider system differ from others?
Answer: Like the PCH System of the cart bags ZZeus used geometry. Unlike the PCH System it is not designed to separate clubs individually and hang them. The double “Z” pattern is designed to separate irons from side-to-side (the “x” plane) and top -to-bottom (the “y” plane) at the same time. This aids the golfer in two ways. First it helps prevent clubs from jamming and banging together excessively. Secondly, it aids in balancing the bag on both the “x” and “y” planes simultaneously. The dividers are sewn at a diagonal to force the shafts apart and prevent interaction or tangling. The bottom line is it makes for a far more efficient means of protecting your clubs and balancing the bag.

Question: Why is the ZZeus heavier than some of the other carry bags available?
Answer: Though it is far from the heaviest carry bag available, ZZeus was not built as an ultra light for a reason. Actually, several reasons! Other bag companies have sacrificed a number of benefits for the single benefit of weight alone. Interior dividers are reduced to ineffective sleeves or even eliminated. Internal skeletal structure is made of cheap plastic rods or totally gone making for a very unstable, weak and out-of-balance bag. Clubmaxx designed the ZZeus to solve problems and chose to gain as many benefits as possible without sacrifice. Unlike other bags, ZZeus was designed with clubs already in the bag. In other words, we took into consideration the weight, balance and geometry of the clubs when placed in the bag both standing on the stand and being carried before it was built. The balance is built into the bag, not just the strap. When fully loaded, ZZeus can actually feel lighter than many ultra-lights because it is substantially better balanced. For this reason, when you try to compare empty bags ZZeus feels “tail heavy”. However, when you put your clubs in, then compare, the weight difference narrows dramatically and the balance becomes obvious. That is one reason ZZeus will stay at the same angle no matter if you are carrying it one shoulder or two or even picking it up by the back handle making for an extremely comfortable carry bag that is easy to switch back and forth from one shoulder to two. Its internal “Long Bow” construction works in tandem with the divider system to add stability and strength to better protect equipment and improve balance at the same time. Stand ZZeus up on its bottom and it stands as solid as a staff bag even without the stand. Most carry bags NEED to be on the stand or they simply fall over. Put balls in the ball pocket, your rain suit in the side or a drink in the cooler (if it even has one) and clubs get jammed together as room is reduced on the inside of today’s typical carry bag. Not ZZeus! “Long Bow” construction prevents any intrusion to the bag’s interior keeping clubs jam free. ZZeus simply has benefits no other bag has and does it without sacrificing of comfort.

Question: My ZZeus does not fit down in the tray of my riding cart, am I doing something wrong?
Answer: No. ZZeus was actually designed to ride on top of the tray on most carts with the “cat ears” against the back wall. With all the inconsistencies today in cart designs it is impossible to design a bag that will fit in the bottom of all trays, so we took a different approach. By allowing the design of the bottom to use the top of the tray we eliminate almost all factory inconsistencies in design. Simply remove the stand, place the bag on the top of the tray and against the back wall and belt it on. ZZeus will stay in place without turning. All pockets and putter scabbards remain accessible and clubs remain jam free.

Question: What is the best way to organize your clubs in the top?
Answer: There is a lot of personal preference here but generally it depends on the make-up of your club set. The ZZeus Divider System is designed to allow three clubs in both the top and bottom compartments with two clubs in each of the rest. This drastically reduces if not eliminates all club jamming. It is an incredibly flexible system. Below are some pictures of several 14-club variations. Let me see your variation!

Question: How did you envision the specific pockets being used?
Answer: A lot of this is personal preference but I wanted the pockets accessible while being used as a cart bag and while being carried. You can actually get into all pockets including the window pocket while being carried as you walk down the fairway. Even though you can open the apparel pocket you cannot reach the bottom so it would be easier to put the bag down anyway. Other than that all pockets are accessible either way. I use the outer ball pocket for shag balls I find on the course and use the other for the balls I use. An extra glove or two is kept in one of the pockets with the Clubmaxx logo on it and a bag of tees and any accessories in the other. The mesh pocket is for my GPS. It keeps it handy but protected by the other pockets on the bag. The Velcro on the side/top of the front pocket pod is so I can put my glove it as I am walking to keep it dry between shots yet quickly accessible. My keys and stuff from my pockets go in the window pocket along with my cell phone. With my cell phone in that pocket the sound is muffled from other players but I can see the screen so I know if I need to take the call without disturbing anybody else. I use the small pocket above the ball pockets for tees, divot tools, etc. Exterior tee holders were tried but the problem with them is they do not hold up very long and after a short time the tees fall out due to their shape and the material not being able to hold them effectively. There is also the growing use of products like Brush-Tee and others that would not work in those kinds of holders anyway. This meant I had to use a single place for whatever brand or design that was used by the golfer. A seal able pocket was the best answer. There is also a removable pouch concealed in the apparel pocket that can be used for valuables.
