Putting a true and consistent roll on the ball is, without a doubt, the most important fundamental to being a great putter. The top putters on Tour just seem to get the ball rolling consistently time and time again. But even the best players in the world need a little help from technology to get the most consistent and truest no skid roll in golf. The precisely milled and spaced grooves on the Two Bar Hybrid grip, hold, and release the ball into an immediate forward roll without any skipping or skidding (all Rife Putters feature RollGroove Technology™). Because of the gripping created by patented RollGroove Technology™ all Rife putters feature less loft than most other putters on the market (1.5-2 degrees).

Conventional Face Putters

A ball sits in a slight depression on the green. This is caused by the weight of the ball and gravity. Conventional putters must have 4-6 degrees of loft on the face to basically chip the ball out of its depression. This creates a slight backspin until the ball hits the ground and the friction of the grass causes the ball to skip or skid before it begins its true forward roll.

Lie Align Fitting System

Great golfers never change their setup position when putting because they know in order to be great you must be consistent. You can not have a consistent and repeatable stroke path if your spine angle, hand position or ball position, is changing from one putt to another. Many amateur golfers struggle to get in a natural and athletic setup position because they do not have enough time to practice and their putter is not properly fitted to them. Not to mention, when it gets late in a round, golfers tend to start getting tired so their setup position changes without them even knowing it.

Thanks to the LieAline Custom Fitting System you have a built-in feedback mechanism that will literally talk to you. The vertical notch tells you that you are in the correct position every time you hit a putt. Utilize the LieAline Bending tool to adjust the lie angle of your Two Bar Hybrid so that each time you setup over the ball you see the full white line through the vertical notch (view image). DO NOT adjust your setup to the putter - adjust your Two Bar Hybrid to your natural setup position. This will ensure you are tension free at address, and within a single round of golf you will be developing a more repeatable and natural stroke path. Attach lie bender. Insert the putter face first, into the lie bender. (as shown to the right) Every Rife Two Bar Model includes a free lie bender tool.

Adjust lie angle.

Secure the bender on both sides of the shaft with your feet, making sure the face of the putter is parallel or facing directly at your body. Gently bend the shaft in line with the face of the putter either up or down depending on whether you want it more upright or flatter. Don’t worry, the shaft will not break so long as you go with slow and repetitive pushes, going slightly further with each push. Do not try to bend it all in one big push.
